Holistic Body Therapy
When you first consider the concept of holistic body therapy you may find yourself asking what are the benefits of holistic healing and what can holistic body therapy do to help me? Well, in short holistic body therapy goes to the root of the problem.
The Holistic approach to healing, unlike mainstream Western medicine does not use medication to cover the symptoms, but instead looks at the body as a whole. When we look at treating a person holistically then it is considered that everything affects everything; in other words no issue within the body is treated as a single entity, instead it is looked at how the body as a whole is out of balance. Holistic body therapy tries to uncover the reasons for the ailment or disease and balance the body so that everything can function properly whilst clearing the system of any blocks that might be holding back any healing.
Mal Weeraratne, founder of Tantric Journey School of Healing and Awakening explains in his book ‘ Emotional Detox’ that ‘Holistic Body Therapy’, unlike a massage, ‘treats your whole body, mind and spirit’. When the true reasons of imbalances are uncovered and treated, they are taken from the cellular memory. That means that symptoms are not masked, whereby it can come back anytime, instead in most cases the reasons for certain conditions are taken away completely.
Often physical or mental pain is controlled only by medication. In modern society hormonal and other chemical treatments are used to veil the pain, but are not getting to the root cause to treat it. The holistic approach teaches a client to look at their body in a very different way. Through Holistic Body Therapy it is possible for a client to come to understand that the body has the ability to heal itself and that they can be in charge.
Holistic medicine is not an instant relief type of approach. It takes its time, because it works with a body on many levels and not just covers the symptoms’ but tries to heal them. In the chapter of his book entitled , ‘ Holistic Body Therapy’, Mal Weeraratne explains that ‘ treatment is based on the balancing of vibrational energies of the seven major chakra points……Chakras act as a pump to move energies throughout the body, and the same must be energetically positive to be active. Chakras can become energetically negative due to past negative events, accidents, unfortunate events or something similar, stresses of life and religious and cultural beliefs. In this case the negative chakras are unable to move the energies effectively; the results can often include dysfunctions, illness and disease. Holistic body therapy is intended to heal the chakras by creating and moving positively charged life force energies from the sacrum to the crown’.
There are number of circumstances that can result in energy blocks and trapped emotions within our body and in ‘Emotion Code’ , Dr Bradley Nelson explains that the circumstances/ causes include:
